"The house was great, the themed rooms were pretty awesome the kids loved it, the beds were all very comfortable and both of my kids (14 year old son and 9 year old daughter) loved the back yard and game room. As a family we all enjoyed the outdoor games over the fireplace with the shade of the awesome avocado tree. The drive way is large enough for three cars, which was incredibly handy as street parking was pretty competitive. There is a very well stocked mini market across the street which saved us alot of driving time. The best part, Sarah allowed us to host a small gathering for my daughter’s birthday to which she said has been her best party to date. Thank you Sarah for hosting us, we have decided that this will be our place to stay when visiting family in OC."

The backyard was clean and an enjoyable area to sit and relax. The kids really enjoyed the heated cowboy pool! There was a guest book available which was helpful to refer to. "Sarah's place was great for our little friend group's staycation. She was friendly and communicative from the start, always proactive in reaching out. AvoCottage was slightly smaller than I expected upon first walking in, but honestly it was a great space and perfectly enough for our group of 7 adults and 4 children. We loved all the effort put into the Disney themes in each room. The backyard was PERFECT for the kiddos.. A small pool just enough for them to splash around in, and a nice grassy area for the egg hunt. We would've loved to watch a movie in the cute backyard with lights, but we're prone to getting bit by mosquitoes. Street parking was harder than expected.. The street was pretty full whenever I checked, but we fortunately were able to fit all the cars in the long driveway. In the end, I did love the space and was sad to leave our staycation. I would stay here again and with Sarah again."

"Chose Sarah's place for an unforgettable sleep over to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The girls had a blast and so did baby brother. They got to enjoy the pool while Dad and uncle monitored nearby at the outdoor tv area. The market across the street was extremely convenient to walk over and pick up a few things during our stay. The house was equip with all things needed for an amazing and comfortable stay. Coffee pods, drip coffee, sugar and creamer all included! Sarah was responded to all our questions in a quick and friendly manner. We would LOVE to stay here again in the future. Sidenote: our dog (corgi) encountered 2 curious possums. Nothing happened since he's a big weenie, but something to be cautious about!"

"One of the best hosts on airbnb. Beautiful home with everything so well thought out for guests. The backyard is a real highlight with heated pool, firepit, outdoor seating, games etc. Perfect for families and kids. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We did the mid-stay clean which was well worth it and easy to organize. Some of the rooms are a little cozy but the beds and bedding all very comfortable. Would love to come back."

We particularly appreciated all the nice touches and that all basics we needed were provided - coffee, paper products, dishwasher soap were all provided and lasted through our stay. "Great house especially for those traveling with kids! My daughter loved the swing and all the toys including the little play kitchen and all the frozen books. The house was clean and you could tell it was new! The Disney theme was adorable - it wasn’t too gaudy, just perfect! The location is especially great for those going to Disney - 15 minutes and you’re there! They even had a high chair and a bunch of plates, cups and cutlery for kids so we didn’t have to worry that something would break. Makes traveling with kids so much easier and relaxing!"

"We loved staying at Avocottage! Very pleased with our experience. Each room was thoughtfully curated with so many cute design details. The space was comfortable and clean. I truly can’t say enough good things about this place — the pool was a great temp and relaxing, the backyard serene with swings and a fire pit for s’more’s(!), the game room was a hit with the PacMan arcade and the space overall was just adorable. It was also nice to have separate pool towels and a washer / dryer available for use. Sarah is an amazing host; very quick to respond with clear communication. She went the extra mile to ensure the floors and rugs were clean for us as we have crawling babies. She also kindly answered a million of my questions, had a crib and high chair waiting for us and kept in contact throughout our stay to ensure we were well taken care of. "A real hidden gem. I often go to Orange County and I wouldn’t have first considered Santa Ana but the value equation for this place is fantastic. The house is appropriate for all age groups as my little kids enjoyed the theme and my older adult children loved the backyard. So much space. Book it - well worth it!"

"This house was exactly what I was hoping for!! It did not disappoint whatsoever. It was so adorably decorated….Disney.. but not overly.. just like I love. All the different Disney rooms had us all saying omg over and over!! My grandkids loved it all. It was immaculate….everything was clean and tidy and had all the things we needed for a great trip. And can we talk about the outdoor area!!! OMG it was so great to be able to have family time..with the pool and the fire pit. And the big table to have dinner and watch a movie! And we loved finding all the hidden Mickeys! I can’t say enough great things about this place, and we are planning on coming back! "Pros: We had an AMAZING time at Sarah's :) There was so much to do there that we actually enjoyed being at the house and not just our outside activities !! The back yard was amazing and lots of activities. The kids bedroom was so great with lots of toys to keep them happy while I had to cook or clean. Decorated INCREDIBLY FUN! Cons: I had to sleep in the master bedroom separately outside and lock the doors to the actual house with my kids inside. It made me uneasy. An easy solution would be to add a key pad lock to the back door also, or provide a key so I could get in quick to my kids if there was an emergency Neutral: The neighborhood was all Hispanic. I am also, myself but I am LIGHT Hispanic. No one was impolite or batted an eye, but its something to consider if you are used to being in a neighborhood with a certain predominant race. There was animal poop in the front and back yards. We cleaned most and didnt make a fuss. We would highly recommend this place!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐"

"This was our final 3-night stay during our 2-week trip in the U.S., and it was the perfect way to end our journey. The house had such a warm and cozy atmosphere, and the spacious backyard was a wonderful place to relax and play. The large avocado tree in the backyard was something really special. It not only looked beautiful but also provided great shade for playing. The gas firepit was easy to turn on and off, so the kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows every evening, and we had lovely evenings spending time outside. The gas BBQ grill was also easy to use and perfect for outdoor meals. Whenever we had questions about how to use something in the house, our host Sarah responded promptly and helpfully. During our stay in the LA area, some of our nearby friends came by to say hello, and their little kids had a great time playing in the backyard pool. The pool was also easy to heat and made the whole experience even better."

"This place needs a Mary Poppins room as it is Practically Perfect in Every Way!!! Stayed a week with my daughters and 5 grandchildren and wish I had planned it better to stay at the house more each day. We played together so much while here - pool, games, firepit, dining, and movie nights outdoors. Although each kid had brought a Tablet, I don’t think they ever were used: too busy having a good time. I highly highly recommend this place and will definitely be booking again. Sarah - thank you for always being so attentive to my messages and providing my family with such wonderfully created memories."

"This spot was amazing! The corner store across the street is so convenient. We walked to a great coffee shop too. It’s not too far from the beach or Disney which fit all of our groups needs. My group was 5 adults and 2 small kids. They had everything we needed and room for another couple if needed. We had friends who live locally over to visit and enjoy the yard. The space was perfect for a campfire and hanging out. The pool is the perfect size for small kids and adults like us who want to cool down but not necessarily swim. The children’s room with toys and princess dresses were the perfect fit. It’s rare to see so many children’s amenities! The 3 separate bathrooms + an entirely separate suite with its own entrance from the yard + game room which its own entrance made it perfect for all of us connecting on different time zones to get privacy with varying sleep schedules. I can’t say enough good about the spot. Definitely will be looking to come back!"

"Sarah's place was perfect for our large group. all 5 rooms were very spacious. place was clean and very well decorated. you could tell Sarah put alot of effort into this place. it was central to everything we wanted to do (a quick 15 minute drive to the Disney Main drop off entrance, 25 minutes to Newport Beach, 45 minutes to LAX, 1hr and 15 minutes from Pasadena). we enjoyed the backyard and all the amenities/yard toys). only hiccup was the pool since it could not get warmer than 74 degrees even though the heater was on. would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again."

"We had a great stay at this super cute house! It comfortably fit our big family of 11 with lots of different sleeping options. The backyard was perfect for relaxing and had fun outdoor games for both kids and adults. Inside, the little ones loved the toy kitchen and dress-up clothes—such a thoughtful touch. The only downside was that the fire pit wasn’t working, which was disappointing since we had planned for s’mores with the kids. Unfortunately, the number provided for help didn’t really offer any resolution, which was a bit frustrating. That said, the host did offer a discount for a future stay, which we appreciated. Overall, it’s a lovely home and we’d definitely recommend it and stay again!"

"This place is terrific, particularly for our plans which was two families with kids heading to Disneyland. The layout of the place was wonderful for hanging out, and our two families had their respective nooks to set up camp in. The place was decorated so great too; lot of thought clearly went into the place. We were very pleased with everything and would definitely stay here again. Also, side note, there’s a little corner store across the street in the neighborhood that was clutch for a few essentials. Definitely recommend this spot."

"Wow, what an amazing place to stay! We could not get over how beautiful and cozy the home was. We ended up cancelling plans our last night in town just to spend more time at the house and enjoy it. Everyone had plenty of privacy, the kids adored the pool, and everyone loved the game room. We also enjoyed the fire pit/yard and got to see parrots flying around, raccoons, squirrels, even a possum make a quick visit in the backyard and it was a serious treat! I also loved the convenience of the little street market right across the street from the house! The house was decorated beautifully, and we received accommodations for early check in. The house had plenty of items required for making a home cooked meal and everything was a breeze! Being super close to Disney was so convenient also. I 10/10 recommend this rental!"

Sarah was such a wonderful and responsive host and she even put up a Spiderman “Happy Birthday” banner for my nephews’ birthdays that we were celebrating on this trip! The house was also in a great location for everything we did on this trip; the beach, Disney parks and a Ducks game! (Uber/Lyft to the parks and the Honda Center were maybe like $20) We will absolutely remember this place for our next big family vacation :)"

"The AvoCottage was, by far, the cutest, most well put together place I've rented. We had 3 generations staying there and every one of us had a wonderful time. We even decided to forego Knott's just to rest and hang out in the swings under the 100+year old avocado tree and the super comfortable furniture under the covered patio. While blizzards and polar whatever's were battering other parts of the country, we were having a picnic on the grass by the pool with the grands. Go to the AvoCottage! It's only a few exits to Disney and a few more to Knott's, Medieval Times and so much more. Thank you Sarah, for all you did for us and the incredible time and effort to make the AvoCottage such a delightful place to hang out hats! You rock!"
